HOW TO CONNECT HDMI ARC IN HARMAN KARDON AVR

Been searching for 1 hr for this. all the other tutorials just show how to connect the cables and setup the tv but doesnt show how to setup the avr. Thank you soooo much!

Although, for those who need it, on my Hisense TV, for whatever reason, I had to set the audio to SPDIF instead of ARC. I have no idea why but it just randomly worked (no optical cables are connected)

Thanks! The System Setup helped me get the ARC working when I turned HDMI Link OFF and ON again (it's ON by default). Before that there was no HDMI available in the TV's audio settings.

Hi, I have Harman Kardon AVR 255 (5.1 channels) working perfectly fine since 2010.
Now, I want to connect my AVR 255 to the newer Sony Bravia with ARC HDMI.
Need your advice if this can be done, as do not want to lose the great sound I get from AVR 255, and move on to a sound bar etc. AVR 255 does not have an ARC HDMI.

Can I just use the 4K TV as a monitor with HDMI video in from the AVR 255, as it is working currently. How will the 4K image come out in this case on the TV, as AVR 255 signal is around 2K ?

I have followed this clip to the T but your clip only shows that the HDMI Link must be "On" but my AVR158 also has HDMI ARC below this also be ON?

Ik zie dat je Nederlands bent, ik heb een vraagje voor je. Ik heb zelf een AVR 350 en wil graag mijn speakers equalisen dit kan via het setup menu door de AVR te verbinden met de tv door bijvoorbeeld HDMI. Ik heb echter geen idee hoe ik dit voor elkaar krijg. door simpelweg de HDMI in HDMI Out te pluggen, krijg ik geen beeld. Heeft u hier misschien een tip voor?
