I think years ago we a good balance between entrepreneurship and social services.
It has now went totally over board.
There is a saying here that says " If USA cough we catch a cold"

I feel bad that the younger people in Canada will never know the Canada I grew up in. It used to be a great country that kicked butt in wartime, had a booming economy and ordinary middle class folks had a pretty comfortable life. I’m too old to leave and start over somewhere else, so I’m staying until I die. It’s certainly not the retirement I had hoped for.
