The world leaders didn't prevent it because they didn't care knowing what was happening and choose to ignore it, similar trend going on in the middle east. May God bless the souls of those that lost their lives in the Rwandan genocide 🙏

Terrible. The young man they show in the thumbnail I believe was tortured and they wrapped barbed wire tightly around his face and head. That is what Iread years ago anyway. Thankfully he survived. Shocking that people could do this to other human beings.

I heard a speech by a Tutsi survivor. He was asked about racism and said “ until we end tribalism in Africa, we can’t hope to end racism “. Whether we like to admit it or not, Africa is the most racist of all continents. Tribe vs tribe, race vs race, and it’s been that way for millennia. The Europeans have merely exploited the situation, not caused it.

I was a young lady when this took place, I remember the news showing scene of utter barbarism when the rebels slashed through men, women and children on the roads fleeing…When a church full of people were butchered with machetes…It was so heart wrenching I couldn’t sleep for years…30 years on I still see those scenes as if they’re taking place today…It took me years to try n forget the scenes of little children butchered right before their parents eyes…The devil and he’s army roamed the streets of Rawanda…What a dark time that was…💔💔💔

They should talk about the Congolese Genocide of King Leopold II.. or the Namibian Genocide by the Nazi Germans as they perfected their gameplan of later having the Holocaust. They were already performing Holocausts in Africa…. They don’t mind speaking of this one because it’s black on black

I remember when I started school in SA, my father used to let me watch the Rwandan news on TV, made me feel so sad watching them so thin and miserable. I hope they're all good now. 😢

The world has never been interested in protecting mankind but rather protecting their interests at the expense of human life.

How many wars are ongoing currently across the world and the whole world knows exactly who is fueling or funding those wars while the rest of the world minds their own businesses?

The present is the best indicator of the future. If we take care of human race it will come back to us in blessings for generations to come. You cant just look after your own and expect blessings. What goes around comes around

Why did the world do nothing?? There is no excuse, another human slather by humans. What cruel creatures humans can be. And so beautiful. 🙏🏻🙌🏻💚🇮🇪

Unfortunately if it does not apply to peoplewe dont act and we fail to take the threat seriously until its too late. This has happened again in Sudan. History will repeat itself if we dont prioritize and destroy dangerous people. Failure to act causes this. Thats why you put out a fire when its small

Rwanda is the living testimony of how far hatred can lead, and the current Rwanda is a sign of how forgiveness can cure and enable humanity to live together despite all.

Yes they should, agreed. However the UN stood by and and never made any attempt to engage those carrying out their merciless killing
