It was less about her getting out breath and more about those lyrics. Like, that rap was legitimately awful and she can't blame that on pneumonia. It was painfully obvious she didn't watch any of the movies she was rapping about and the lyrics were just so bad that it would have been mercilessly mocked no matter who was singing

The thing is she is a brilliant vocalist who had a bad day, we all have them. Tbh its still an iconic moment and it made me look her up so she should embrace it

There's a video of her rehearsing it just before she went out and performed it and it did sound exactly like how she performed it. Regardless of whether it was good or bad, it took guts to get up there and shame on all the actresses who she was trying to big up who looked down at her with ridicule. I can't say I'm a fan of all this Hollywood wokeness but fair play to her for doing it and for dealing with the backlash.
