So I’ve been watching you on YouTube for a while now, even done a couple of your cooks. My wife comes home the other day talking about a pastor in the area that was sitting in on their staff meeting. She told me the name of the church and I looked it up out of curiosity and realized the pastor was you haha. My wife is the kids pastor of A Church Called Home, Mariah. Thought that was an awesome coincidence that you might find interesting. Id love to meet you one day and get those BBQ secrets! Haha

Now that looks delicious! I’ve had deer meat in stew and it was great but I’ve never tried the back straps…😢

Try rub with love cowboy steak seasoning. Perfect for blackstrap. Has rosemary in it, it’s a winner.

Pro tip: back strap so tender you can really press that seasoning into it once you sprinkle it on. It will lock that seasoning in so it doesn’t fall off while grilling.

Naw. Down south we fry it and put it on a bed of rice and smother it in gravy with a side of cornbread. 😩🔥

What temp you cook that bad boy to? And did you let it sit for 10 or so minutes before cutting in? Thanks

I need that salt and pepper contraption. 😂 I marinate venison in lemon lime soda and soy sauce then cooked indirectly on charcoal or smoke them in a smoker. Subbed. 🙏

For anyone worried about a "gamey" flavor, a simple brine for a few hours will take that out of the meat. Just give it a rinse and pat it dry before your sear it.
