Pilot Killed in Prescott Glider Crash

April 13, 2015—NAZ Today reports on a pilot killed after a glider aircraft he was operating crashed in the Prescott Valley on Saturday.
The crash occurred at Morning Star Ranch Road where EMS personnel declared the pilot deceased on the scene. The glider was attached to a vehicle by a tow line which was detached after the aircraft gained adequate altitude. The glider lost control soon after and began to descend rapidly before crashing into the ground.
The pilot's identity is currently being verified, and the investigation of the cause of the crash is underway.
