I had the X and switched to the 8 Plus as well. The X is a beta phone. I am sure that this years releases will be better, but right now, the X is not the best iPhone available unless the only thing that matters to you is looks. Functionality is way more important than the fact that the design is 4 year old or whatever. My phone is a tool, not a fashion statement. BTW, the 8 Plus is still a great looking phone in addition to being very functional.

The iPhone 8 plus is a much better phone all the way around, I'm not one who gets caught up with the Hype, I'm more of a loner who goes with what Is ideal . Face I.D was the biggest deal breakers for why I'd never get the iPhone X .

I think the iphone 8 plus is better in a daily usage and it is more as a perfect tool.
The iphone x is an astonishing toy.

I was gonna go to the X, but figured it to be a “beta” phone.... So, I’m sticking with the iPhone 8 Plus, classic design with upgraded X power. 👍🏻 I’ll wait till Apple perfects the new design this year.

I got an iPhone 8 Plus. My first iPhone. Glad I made the right choice. I decided to go all Apple. iPhone, iPad and MacBook and I’m glad I did. Now everything syncs perfectly between all devices. Photos, messages, emails, notes, google maps etc

I don’t understand all of the glitches that people have been having with their iPhone X’s. Any issues that I have had during my experience within the last 3, going on 4, months can all be attributed to Apple’s shoddy rollout of iOS 11. The criticism of Face ID, I get though. The fact that you have to be in a perfect situation for it to work is annoying. It’ll inevitably be just as good as Touch ID given the same amount of time though.

Lol not at all. Love my iPhone X. The ONLY thing I hate about it is that FaceID doesn’t work if the phone is being held horizontally like when I put my phone in my car mount for gps. That’s the ONE thing I hate. Otherwise it works flawless. Speakers are loud, clear, it’s blazing fast, battery holds up, screen is crips and bright, and over all it just does what it needs to do. I get what you’re saying about the aspect ratio bec I went from a 6+ to the iPhone X so the small phone was an adj since if you zoom it gets cropped but you get used to it. There are people already starting to film in aspect ratios that perfectly fill the screen. Johnathan Morrison even did a video on it. I’ve seen many other since then doing it. It will transition just like people are starting to use type C connectors and more earbuds are becoming wireless and there’s no more headphone jack. You have to adapt or be left behind.

You know you dont have to wait for the locksymbol to unlock for the phone to be ready. It unlocks as you swipe up.

Never had a single issue with the X and has been my daily driver since release. The first two problems you mentioned were isolated hardware malfunctions and are something 99% of users won’t experience. You probably should have mentioned that in the video
