Eddy is playing a berimbau in his intro video. It’s a traditional Brazilian instrument based on African bows which is used to keep rhythm and flow for capoeiristas. Awesome to see them include it.

14:28 That instrument is a berimbau. It's used in capo rodas during jogos. It is required for a capo master to learn it.
I think it's rlly dope that they're adding it for a intro or outro for him.

40yrs old....worked arcade since DDR 3rd mix and tekken 4 and soul calibuer 2 was the rage(Aladdin's Castle Rosedale MN)....this game makes me want to get back into fighting games!!!

The opening was very emotional to me because it brought back so many memories. Yes you're right about the tekken 2 intro and Jun looking back to the camera. Also the scene where we see her from the back reminds me of tekken tag tournament 1 intro. And the scene where Jin is seated in some kind of forest reminds me also of tekken tag 1 intro. SO EMOTIONAL

The instrument he was playing is called a Berimbau... very common in capo chants.

It's a solid design.
Though I wouldn't mind seeing his hair down for a change.
Like a dreaded bobcut.
I think physics would compliment his movement quite a lot in the new engine.

i think his cartwheel is a sidestep + stance switch, its animation is quick and really punchy, perfect for in game readability. eddy is really on that tekken 8 juice! looks sick!

My hope for Eddy is that he is evasive with good pokes. T7 he was his most evasive and as much as the aggressive philosophy of T8 fits some characters, I feel like he is better as a counter hit style.
