I'm assuming they got trolled by the Joker into thinking they were back to the real world at the end of season 2. Or something along those lines.

I originally thought season 2 would be the end of Alice in Borderland since they "beat" all the games. It felt like a really satisfying ending to reveal the Joker card at the end. Just thought it meant basically that they cheated death.
Another meaning being that the Joker represents another game, and that game IS life itself. The hardest card to beat because it just requires you to get to the next day and the next which is life.
Personally, I don't think this show needed a season 3. They finished season 2 perfectly and with a nice open-ended ending just to throw that out the window with season 3.

It is AIB SEASON 3. Netflix Japan posted it, and the actor who play Arisu, Kento Yamazaki also posted it on Instagram. He said, it will be released on September this year.
I'm soooo looking forward to this.

I think that they probably either got their memories back or they're trying to regain them at this moment. I've also noticed that Chishiya hasn't shown up yet which means that he might be the joker card itself ?
