How to Create Easy Embossed Lettering in Procreate

Let’s create some Embossed lettering in Procreate. It’s easier than you think and you can use it with fonts or your own hand lettering. You will be working with shadows and highlights to create the embossed effect.

Steps:
Choose a background color.
Add your text and then Rasterize it so you can easily change the color and later, add a Gaussian Blur.
Then duplicate the text 2 times so you have 3 layers.
The top layer should be the color of your background. The middle layer should be white and the bottom layer keep black.
Add a Gaussian Blur to your bottom layer (black text) - I made my blur about 4%.
Tap on the arrow on the top menu to move the layer to the bottom left of your main text.
Now add a Gaussian Blur to your middle layer (white text).
Tap on the arrow and move the layer to the top right of your main text.
Open the Layers Menu and tap on the top layer and hit Select then open the Layers Menu again and tap on your middle layer and hit Clear.
Repeat this step for the bottom layer - Tap on the top layer, hit select, open the Layers Menu again and tap on the bottom layer and hit Clear.
Turn off your top layer.
You can now bring down the opacity on the 2 layers (the white and black layers).
