Yes, small towns are creepy and weird. Stephen King taught us that back in the 80s. This is just more of that same theme.

Cities can have bad places, bad people.

But a bad small town is just bad everywhere.

Yup i knew it..just watched it and it WAS good but the ending kinda ruined it..n also makes u wonder what happened next. It was def a good idea they cud of done alot more with it, gotten more good actors n then make another one :/

An emotionally vulnerable individual with extreme supernatural powers being used and then rejected and disappointed by the humans who are "the real monster" trope just refuses to die. As long as there are simpletons to pay for watching it, I guess the derivative nonsense will keep flourishing.
