ESPN Films and Netflix announce a joint production “The Last Dance,” a 10-part documentary series that will chronicle one of the greatest icons and most successful dynasties in sports history, Michael Jordan and the 1990s Chicago Bulls. Directed by Jason Hehir (“The Fab Five,” “The ’85 Bears,” “Andre the Giant”) and produced by Mike Tollin, the anthology will examine the simultaneous rise of Jordan and the NBA during those years.

Michael was the ultimate motivation! MJ was the greatest athlete in the 80s and 90s. I didn’t watch basketball because I was so busy working, but he was the blueprint for motivation and success! He was larger than life! Just looking at his face, eyes, and swagger. So much charisma and confidence. You’re just drawn to him. Too bad he kinda disappeared in the last 10 yrs. He’s put on weight and living a v private life. I think his fans still have a hunger to see him out in public and on TV. We still want to hear from him and interact w him. I’m sure he has a mountain of wisdom to share w us. I feel like he’s almost cheating his fans!

I think he’s just really into making money and has become a businessman.

He can still take a leadership role in the NBA like Phil Jackson, Jerry West, and Pat Riley did as coaches or owners. He was such a huge inspiration to everyone. He WAS American sports. Then he just disappears.

I feel like us fans have been cheated of his presence. I feel v upset. He was like the Tom Brady of 80s and 90s. I’m sure he has personal problems and reasons for what he’s doing.

He was the GOAT. So powerful and inspiring.
