B-29 "FIFI" attended the WWII Weekend, Reading, PA, USA, June 3-5, 2011 and participated in the air show and offered flights. (She returned to the air late 2010 after 4 years of repair and restoration.)

I got a chance to fly with her on the last trip of the weekend sitting in the flight observers seat just behind the pilot. It was a beautiful evening flight over the green and hilly Pennsylvanian countryside. The crew was so professional, nice and friendly.

The video contains both stills and HD video from both outside and inside and covers the entire flight.

Thanks CAF for keeping those old iconic planes flying! You made a dream come true for me.

Enjoy this beautiful old aircraft!

I too, took a ride in this magnificent plane and sat in the very seat this cockpit video was taken from. I spent a 'silly' amount of money to take this ride, (in Colorado).  Let me just say, I will recall this flight as one of the greatest moments in my life. Thanks for the great video. It brings back a flood of great memories.

I had the pleasure of touring this great plane in Birmingham, Alabama in 2016; what a thrill. Great people too.

Thank you.  This film was a great experience.  I think you had the best seat allowed visitors.

Great flight. Very responsive for such a large prop plane. Expertly mastered!

I've flown on FiFi and your video makes me jealous. I see all the things I missed on my flight. Guess I'll have to go again =)

That has to have an eerie and surreal feeling of being in a time machine.

Great engineering usually looks beautiful. Sleek, functional and modern back then. The cockpit must have been a pilot's dream(?)

The Yoke movement, either more or less, is caused by the way the Trim Tabs are set.

Damn if thats in calm weather, makes you wonder how much elbow steam is required to land the thing in turbulence

Got to envy the Gunfighter.  Talk about having the best seat in the house !

Now that was a smooth landing. I guess it the take off and landing speed was less than a modern commercial jet.

the engines on this plane reminds me of the engines on the P-47. Are they the same type of engine or just look similar? probably a stupid question
