This is shocking. These kids have no respect for life, and have now ruined their lives.

The public should demand these murderers be tried as adults and not children. Children aren't supposed to murder and you can't possibly exploit a murderer.

What have we as a society done, to produce such children who have such little regard for life?

Murder is murder If someone can kill the should be tried as an adult.

These so-called youths need to learn a hard lesson; otherwise they would have no fear of wrongdoing and cause tremendous damage to a lawful society.

Thank you Edmonton Journal for allowing comments, even if I don't agree with most of them. Unlike our 'public broadcaster'.

16 and up are considered old enough to emancipate, make decisions, drive, work, etc; those should be charged as adults. This isn't an accidental death, well planned and in a group. Deal with these murderous bullies as the danger they really are to are society 😡😱😖

It would be interesting to know if the school knew about the escalation in rivalry, and what steps they took to try and stop it

I'm sure the kids at the schools know the names of these kids.

POST ALL THEIR NAMES AND PICTURES! Charge them all as adults! Canadas laws are ridiculous, always protecting criminal youth instead of protecting the innocent.

They should sue the EPSB for allowing violent kids to remain in school. There is little to no tolerance for violence for adults in a work setting, why is there for children? This is the regulation EPSB has on adult staff: "Confirmed instances of workplace violence may result in administrative sanctions up to and including termination for those who commit or contribute to workplace violence.". The same must apply to students who commit or contribute to violence.
