I loved Barbara because she asked questions we all wanted the answers too that many interviews would not ask!

In the end, her personal interviews, which weren't considered hard news, made her stand apart. She interviewed everybody. Her interviews became the news.

It's amazing how much her and Ann Frank looked alike and they were born the same year strange

I wish your reporting was more accurate, especially since you are talking about such an iconic journalist. Barbara's paternal grandfather, Abraham Isaac Waremwasser, was born in the Polish city of Łódź and emigrated to England where he changed his surname to Warmwater. So it was Poland, not Russia. To know this, you have to know that Poland was simply occupied at that time by Russia, Austria, and Germany - all three of these countries divided Polish lands among themselves and Poland disappeared from the map of the world for more than a century between 1772- 1918. It doesn't change the fact that it was Poland. Many Poles are annoyed by this lack of historical knowledge in the West, exactly because, for this reason, the origin of many legendary people who were actually born in Poland, is often wrongly defined in the West. Poland was simply illegally occupied at the time when those famous people we are talking about (or their ancestors) were born in these lands, but it was still Poland. Poland finally regained its independence in 1918, but unfortunately, it did not regain all its lands.

It's crazy how she put this together before she died. It's almost like a visual will.

Well dang. We heard nothing about her Mom. But to be fair I do think Barb had a hand in creating this. But idk.
