Season 2 Week 17 of Soaping101 and we are reproducing a famous maker's Sensitive Skin Unscented Beauty Bar.

Now this is what I have been looking for. I love Dove soap. If I can make my own then so be it. I would love to try it and see. I think I would love the some scent, like Rose or Lavender too.

I made this soap for the 1st time a little over 3 weeks ago.  I used sugar water instead of the malted barley.  I cut after one day & just used a bar in the bathroom sink last week...Its a heck of a hard bar of soap, but it lathers great.  You can smell the tallow, but its not overpowering.  My skin feels great after using it.

I have a question for anybody who's tried this soap and a lot of other soaps out there.  Any time I buy "organic" or homemade soap, it leaves an odd feeling after rinsing it off, like the water is beading up on my skin and I'm now slightly water-repellent.  That's the best way I can describe it.  Dove is about the only bar soap I've ever used that feels smooth and natural after rinsing off.  How does this recipe compare to that feeling?  And is there an obvious reason why this soap would differ from most other bar soaps I've tried?  Thanks!

Keep in mind that the sugar will heat up the soap so keep it cool while it saponifies.

Wondering if you could use Coconut Milk or Goats Milk or Cows Milk instead of water in this recipe????

I make this soap and I love it, I'am a 60 old years and always use Dove and your soap 10% superfatting is great, it leaves my skin soft and hydrated as Dove. Now always 8-10% for my soap. I don't like the feeling 5%.

This is a non-sense video. Dove is based on isethionates, a very mild surfactant. The bar in this video is regular soap. Crazy

Any simple sugar syrup will work. Or you could leave this part out.
