In the latest "What's New At TTU," we take a look at some of the great dining options on the west side of campus.

Your closest option near the University Recreation Center is right across the street from the Rec, Sam’s Place West. Variety is more than just the spice of life, it’s on the menu here. Are you a fan of Italian food, sushi, salad, Mexican food and burgers? Sam’s Place West has you covered. Can’t get enough of those Chick-fil-A nuggets? They have those too.

But you are in a hurry, right? Guess what, the Grab-n-Go selection is extensive and with Transact Mobile Ordering, your order will be waiting for you when you walk inside. Sam’s Place West just opened Boar’s Head Deli to the list of options. For those with late-night cravings, they will be open until midnight.

Speaking of Boar’s Head Deli, that is one of the featured items just east down 18th Street inside the Burkhart Center for Autism Education and Research at the Burkhart Café.

The recently renamed Burkhart Café features ciabatta sandwiches with Boar’s Head meats and cheeses. But one item that is sure to draw a crowd is the new artisan flat-crust pizzas. One you absolutely need to try outside of the traditional pepperoni and cheese is buffalo chicken pizza. Your taste buds will thank you.
