Can we just talk about how actually great of a friend Edna is
Bob comes in for a suit patch, so she makes supersuits for the entire family instead, despite being obviously famous and busy.
When she suspects Bob of defying Helen's trust to the point of possibly hurting the whole family, Edna clues Helen in on whats going on. And not only does she act as a shoulder for Helen to cry on when she thinks Bob is cheating, Edna also giver her a killer pep talk. What a homegirl.
