They should be comparing the PS1 version instead of the Wii one, but sure, they do whatever they want. Stil looking hella better, even though some levels like the burning town are too bright/contrasted/whatsoever

Phantasy Reverie version of Klonoa 1 looks great! Klonoa 2 looks fine I guess, but too much of the style has been taken away, personally think it looks too clean and bright. I think the original darkness 1:27 1:34 of the Volk burning stage is a lot more fitting. Original looks like a city being ravaged, the new one is like 'yeah the ground is on fire ig but the sunset is so pretty :]"

I like how the graphics look of the old school version on number two, it reminds me of that musashi game for PS2

I think you should adjust the saturation, or patch it in an update. It’s overly-bright compared to the Wii remake and even the original on PS1, and there’s a loss of detail from lack of shading and outlines on the characters

De verdad que no entiendo porque llaman "original" al de Wii, habrían salido mejor parados si lo compararan con el de PS1, en el que solo el mapa estaba en 3D, estando todos los personajes en 2D (y, a estándares de hoy dia, sprits muy pixelados). El de PS solo saldría ganando si comparas las cinematicas, pero cualquiera lo haría si comparas una cinemática pre-grabada con una in-game.

I personally love the graphical changes here for the first game. I loved the PlayStation original and was super hyped for the Wii release, but then ended up disappointed because I felt the presentation didn't match that of the original at all. To me this increase in clarity, saturation and cartoony look (not to mention Klonoa's original design) fit way better with how the PS1 game looked to me as a kid.

The Klonoa 2 changes seem...ok. I wish they'd opted for a more subtle cell-shading style outline though and not simplified some of the textures (bit early to tell, but the roof at 1:24 looks more bland than what they were going for in the original PS2 version).

Personally I'm not too obsessed with how the games look as long as they play as good as, or somewhat better than, the originals.

Looking good. But, like "original" I guess is because is based in the wii version (that I hate btw) and not because is the original klonoa, the ps1 game. And in Klonoa 2 I really miss that line art effect (cell shading is called?). with the new graphics it would be even more beautiful if it was kept. Anyway I'm very happy for having Klonoa again. I hope this is a real come back for him
