Galaxy S10 Lite vs S10 & S10+ comparison review

The S10 Lite is here, and it's only 11 months late. How does the budget entry in Samsung's 2019 flagship lineup compare to the other S10 phones, is it really that 'Lite' at all, and why isn't this just called the S20 Lite? Dom takes a look.

Im from the Netherlands, and here it seems there are some more differences. The S10 is sold with the slower Exynos processor, while the S10 Lite is sold with a more powerful Snapdragon processor (Outside of Europe all samsung phones have Snapdragons i think). Also, the S10 lite was released a year later than the S10, wich means it was launched with android 10 installed. That means it will receive more updates until 2022, while the S10 and S10+ started with android 9 and update until 2021.


So for me it would seem the S10 Lite is the better choice, the downsides are that it costs about as much as the S10 but has no headphone jack and no IP68 waterproof mark.

I bought the S10 lite. I bought it because of all the great reviews about the cameras. Now with an update it even has 4k 60fps video that is amazing. I wouldn't even think about the other S10 phones compared to this one.

Upgrading from a standard S8 I've had it since it was launched. I'm going with the S10 lite. Performance wise it ticks all boxes for me the big screen and big battery is a must. 😎

I went for the s10+ right 2 days ago and it's incredible!
I've chosen over the lite for the ip68 and 3.5 mm jack...so happy With that :)

I got the s10 lite, my dad got the s10, and my aunt got the s10+. We tried comparing all aspects of the phone and each phone is better depending on what you want it for. If you wanted a new but more old fashioned phone, you'd go for the 10. If you wanted battery life and gaming, you'd go for the 10 lite. If you wanted a mix of both, you'd go for the 10+. I like a mix of both, but I just thought the s10 lite was more comfortable for me because I have big hands. I had a hand me down j7 2015 and it was uncomfortable to use, especially since I had it for almost 3 years. The s10 lite was a great change and I'd recommend that I've the s10

Used A9 Pro (2016) until I dropped it yesterday. Worked smoothly for more than 3 years, super quality build for a mid range phone. Gorgeous display, full body glass protection, aluminium back panel, the brick won't shatter!

Plastic is perfectly fine for wireless charging. The active series, higher Nokia Lumia series were all plastic backed/bodied. I'd say it's all about stripping features down for "cheaper" price. I just hate that even though the phone is not water resistant it's still missing the headphone jack. Overall a great comparison!

I'm considering the s10 lite as I'm going to get a contract phone and is a much better value and deal imho than the s10 or s10+. I can easily live with the differences and that battery is so much bigger than the s10's.

Managed to get the Lite for £399 from the Samsung shop on Amazon. Very pleased.

Well that was utterly useless! :D Because I reached the exact same conclusion. Lite > s10+ clearly ... BUT... normal s10 is now about 50-70euros CHEAPER than lite almost everywhere. And then you're just confused how lite version is more expensive than normal, but then again the lite came out so much later, it has alot of modern solutions.. but then again, the overall quality of original is still better... but then again, lite has bigger camera and screen.. but then again, normal s10 has better screen resolution and might even have better camera, even though lite camera has other perks over s10. And then there's the whole battery situation.... just ARGH.

S10 doesn't have all 12mp cameras on back ulTra wide is 16 mp camera.
Also s10 plus dual camera isn't wide angle camera, its just a depth sensor.

The s10 on amazon costs atm (BRAND NEW) around 560€ and the s10 lite around 500€. I would for sure go for the s10 since it has a headphone jack, which is important for me.

I must say I keep changing my mind as I run with my phone and want lighter and smaller and water proof... however, I also want a fast/longer lasting battery and good camera... I think the deciding factor will be the harder to smash screen on S10.. So 10 is going to win...
