HOW TO get SMOOTH HANDHELD SHOTS without STABILIZERS!

Ever wondered how you can get your footage smoother, but don't have the funding to afford expensive sliders or gimbals?

I was asked from my last vlog how I get the buttery smooth cinema movements from the camera without a gimbal.

TIP 1:

Stabilise the camera body onto your chest and then use your other hand to cradle the lens to pull focus as well as zoom in and out.

TIP 2:

Higher frame rate. These days cameras can shoot up to 60fps @ 4K and 180fps @ 1080p instead of 24fps for general footage. More frames, slower movements.

TIP 3:

Towel Slider Tip, cannot afford a slider? no problem, throw out a towel and slowly pull it towards you.

TIP 4:

Warp Stabiliser on PremierePro, type "warp" into your effects panel, click and drag it onto your footage bar and watch the magic happen!
