Fixing Compaction in Your Lawn Increases Nutrient and Water Uptake

We are fixing compaction in this video. OK, this may be a little over kill, but the compaction I have is bad. Standing water that invites fungus, nutrients and water not getting down to the plant, and I can't even put my spike sprinkler into the ground. This needs to be fixed before the summer heat dries everything out, and everyone puts away their aerators. My Steps
1. Cut it short to get the best results from the aerator. Dethatch beforehand if you can.
2. Pick up the cores, and don't leave them. Use your mower and bag them up or dethatcher with a bag. Weed seeds could be in there. Also, we need to remove material to loosen up the ground. This is also a good opportunity to overseed.
3. Gypsum, this is supposed to loosen up hard pan and clay. Get it into those holes and water it in. I am not sure how much to use, but I'm putting down 240lbs on a little over 4k sq. ft. It's probably overkill, but I'm trying to change my soil structure. I'm also going to be putting down soil conditioner in future videos.
-Leaf chute for lawn bags
-40lbs bag of Anderson Gypsum. Higher quality than what i used
Just go to home depot it's cheaper but if you like stuff shipped to your door.
