As someone from the Dutch/German border region, Jäger is a really popular drink, especially after ice skating or during apres-ski (Austria) to warm you up.
I like drinking it pure (ice and ice cold). My girlfriend, on the other hand, prefers to mix it with cherry Coke at a 1:3 ratio.

Long Island Iced Tea is almost like the worst of both kinds. Tastes like delicious strong iced tea, yet halfway though the 3rd tall glass you gonna find out why you were told to sit to drink it. One sec I'm sittin on the couch, get jabbed in the side, and next sec I'm sprawled out on the floor not sure how I got there, feeling like I'm moving through syrup.
Great 21st B-day all in all, though I wish I hadn't kept testing every freakin doorframe with my forehead. Did NOT help my 1st hangover whatsoever!

I hope you will one day have the chance to have a glass of wine in the rural regions of France. You will see that wine is everywhere and not just for important occasions. You will see it at parties, at table for dinner, in bars and cafés. There is something truly communal about it. As the famous french actor Louis de Funès said:"Le canon, faut comprendre aussi que c'est pas seulement du pinard, mais que c'est de l'amitié !".
To drink a glass together, its not just wine, its friendship.
