If anyone is wondering what’s happening:

So, Liv Thomson is a mom with two kids. She just opened an Italian restaurant. Her restaurant isn’t getting any customers because there is another restaurant who’s doing better. (Franzelli’s) Which is nicks dads restaurant. The Thomsons start sabotaging their restaurant until that place gets no customers. Nicks dad tries to get a loan from the bank to get his place back in business, except the guy at the bank is Liz’s husband. (Ed) Ed doesn’t give him a loan. Nicks dad ends up robbing a convenience store and gets caught. Nick gets adopted by foster parents who are con people. They help nick get back at the thomsons. Nick comes up with a whole fake story and everyone believes her. She starts stealing and slowly ruining their lives little by little.(until season 2 which I won’t spoil) There was one episode where nick sets up a go fund me to get her dad out of jail. She uses her foster brother as an excuse. People find out that it was nick and they put her on tv too give nicks foster brother the money. Nicks old best friend sees her on tv and comes to her school. They end up getting caught and the whole family wants to meet her. Jeremy (Liz’s child) has been questioning nick since the first episode. That’s why he was asking so many questions. Molly (Liz’s other child) is jealous of nick and her best friend, she’s wondering why nick has never talked about her past life before. The end hope this helps lol.

Okay so for any one confused the girl that is being asked the questions name is nick and she showed up to this house, where she acted like they were supposed to pick her up at a train station and look after her and she was pretty much scamming them (the family) for money to get her dad out of jail and the family finally started to catch onto her after she showed up their house got robbed multiple times and I’m not quite sure who the girl in the middle is. so the brown haired girl that kept on answering the question is Nick and she was fostered bc her mom died and her dads in jail so her foster parents makes her scam so they become rich and they took her to a family to scam called "The Thompsons" and so she keeps that a secret and tells them that her parents died in a car crash and that her and the thompsons r long long family relatives so in this episode her bestfriend riley the girl w glasses finds her bc nick js left when her dad went to jail and when her mom died so riley doesnt know and thats why nick wouldnt let her answer bc she knows that the secret would be out.the girl w bangs is Molly the daughter of the thompsons kinda like nicks bsf and the boy is Jeremy the son and he suspects that somethings up w nick and well the other ppl are her parents the thompsons.

I get that in this case, Nick was actually up to something, but there are enough foster kids who hide these kinds of things for completely valid reasons. Jeremy was so wrong for how he treated her.
