Embarking on a journey to the walled city of Lahore, Baalwala's goal is to meet a poetess who happens to be the last surviving heir of the Mughal dynasty and a direct descendant of Ilmudin Ansari from the 9th generation. Along the way, he passes through Zaki Gate and continue through Delhi Gate, both of which are saturated with history and tradition. Baalwala finds the entire experience enchanting and feels grateful for the chance to visit and learn from this extraordinary individual.

I'm a Hindu girl from a prosperous East Bengali family currently a residential of Kolkata. I also have a Mughal princess married in my family. She was Bengal's last nawab Siraj's youngest granddaughter and it's a historical event that most Indians don't know about. But I am proud to be her blood.

Lahore seriously gave me Amritsar vibes . Sad to know how close the both cities are yet so far from each other. The resemblance of architecture, people and the way they carried history even in the 21 st century in both cities is amazing.

What a character she is! from an era that shackled in name of draconian subjective dogmas of honor. Yet she bloomed how she could through poetry. Its a colorful world. People find dignity in the darkest of places and bloom like a lotus in muck. I have relatives like her brought up in stifling households and met many others surrounded by hedonism and mayhem; yet live with dignity and grace. A caged bird doesn't stop chirping.

I feel something inside my chest squeezing my heart tight whenever I see the old mughal era buildings and such wise people with such a beautiful poetry skills living in abandoned houses away from modern world and writing down the pain that people gave them in form of words . Aaah I can't explain that feeling maybe it's due to we are a part of our investors that loved the same life in these old mansions I don't know maybe someone reading this comment will think I'm a fool but you don't know what I behold in depth of my heart

I have met 40th generation of Rajput ruler who ruled Saurastra region for 400 years. He told me how during war with islamist, several generation of rajput family got killed. Many sacrificed their life and gotlost in the history. Lftist make sure that they remain buried in the history and never pipps up evennin the history book. History is written by powerful people.

This is gold. So good to see and know and experience the beauty of Lahore.. all this was once a united land.. unfortunately... Today's generation of India and Pakistan have been kept aloof of the common treasure, historical significance, the positives.. all we are fed is hate. I randomly can across this video.. You are doing a wonderful job, brother. Love and peace 🎈✨
