I worked at captain d’s as a third job. My uncle ran a store in winter garden and my mom ran a store in pine hills (these are in Florida) and they would have me go back and forth between their stores to help. Matter of fact I met my long time friend at my mom’s store. He was a cook and I ran her front counter and drive. I was 18 then and now I’m 43 and we still friends even tho I moved to the other side of the country.

I have fond memories of captain d’s. I kept that job as a 2nd and 3rd job for many years actually (it went down to a second job when I started Walmart when I was 20).

I hate fish but I will eat captains d’s fish. Their greenbeans are good as hell!!!! And their chicken is good too. Ya’ll don’t sleep on captain d’s! It was good back then at least.

Lots of people came for the shrimp scampi. LOTS OF PEOPLE!

Maryland fried chicken is gone and that place was the bomb! I went back home recently to visit and it was just gone. Not there. Between these two joints I ate good.
