Good video, very informative. A quick question you showed us how to remove MS Edge but then you install Google chrome, in terms of privacy is that not as bad?
Brave, Firefox or say Mulvad browsers would be better options??
Thanks

If Linux had lived up to my expectations, I wouldn't need to worry about any of this. Expectation and Reality are two different things unfortunately. I had a dream that My current Windows 10 system got updated with co-pilot and AI and all the other junk you'd find in Windows 11, and also I had an old Windows 98 system that too got the update! Then they were both playing the same video about what new "features" the update has. I'm sure Microsoft WOULD make every Windows computer have AI and Copilot and recall, putting it on every version of Windows from 1 - 11 if they thought they could!

Thank you for making this tutorial and for attaching the PowerShell code. The principle of program groups is a really good tool, I only know that after Windows 10, it appeared in the Professional Edition, but I have no impression of the Home Edition; these methods of handling toxic garbage that can be removed are necessary to have, although due to the lack of English reading skills, the current translation tools, video recording, subtitles, and finally can DIY, self-learning. Thank you for your hard work! (Translated by DeepL)
謝謝您製做這個教學,也附上 PowerShell 程式碼。程式群組原則真是個好用的工具,個人只知道在 Windows 10 DIY ,自我學習。辛苦了,感恩!(DeepL翻譯)

Because this is disconnected from the internet the whole time, is it possible to also do an EU style install and remove a lot of that bloatware during this setup?

you did all these to remove telemetry just to install chrome so every single thing you do on the web can tracked by google

Make a video for Windows 11 HOME users, what should we do to remove telemetry? We don't have Group policy editor and we don't want to use any scripts as well.

Group policy editor has been an essential part of my Windows toolbox since XP. It's one of the few reasons why I've even considered "upgrading" to Windows 10+.

I heard that major updates can reset policies, but that has yet to happen on my end. Heck, my policies from 10 were carried over to 11 (incl. the telemetry stuff), as if 11 was just a feature update. 11 is my quickest and most underwhelming Windows upgrade.

I just happened to notice today that there is a setting in the latest O&OShutUp10++ tool that disables Windows Copilot & Recall, and it's actually "recommended" to be disabled. Is this also a "safe" way to disable it?

I wonder if Edge is completely removed with the official way for EU users and if it's gonna be re-installed with future Windows updates.

6:10 i totally and fully disagree. that is definitely in no way easier to disable telemetry over running a script.
manually reading them all, then disabling them one by one is infinitely harder over running a script to disable telemetry. especially in this case where it is windows we are talking about.
taking hours and days even to read and disable stuff is def not easy but is more secure in that you know what exactly you disable.
the majority of users don't have the time linux users have to read up on everything their os can do. and since windows runs damn near everything and has way more telemetry to disable and has so much old codes on it, not even a linux user would think its worth it to study the os to such extend.
it is more secure tho for sure. even still i personally stick to running a script and calling it a day. as a gamer that has a pc mainly to game, it's just what i prefer personally.

Can you please explain how we make that script working?

Ask Leo totally debunks all this BS and Brian did it himself too in an earlier video. There's no Recall unless you buy a new computer that is ready for it and you have to opt in to use it. Windows users has always been giving MS their info volontarily. Why are you using Windows? Why do you have a facebook account, Instagram account, smart phone. Using all this is the way to hand over your privacy every second 24/7/365, so why this fuzz about Windows 11 planning to implement Recal in the future?
