Your heart rate is the number of times each minute that your heart beats, which is normally between 60 and 100 times per minute for adults. Your pulse is a way you can feel each time your heart beats. Measuring your heart rate helps you monitor your own health and know if you’re exercising at the right level to get the most benefits to your health. You could feel differently when heart rate changes. So we've prepared a list on what happens to you at different heart rates. Make sure to watch the comparison video all the way to the end.

I have no idea what you mean. My heart went 50, 000/50K BPM when I asked out my crush and I survived.

When he was really young, one of my little cousin had something wrong and his BPM was at around 230 which could have been lethal for him seeing how young he was, thankfully he's okay now.

Was on continuous nebulizer in the hospital when I was about 8, so my heart rate went to about 220.
I didn't even feel weird, because I was so used to such a large dose of Albuterol from a day-to-day basis.

"To estimate your maximum age-related heart rate, subtract your age from 220."
soooo... 220 - 11.8333 = ~208.1667 BPM (still not as fast as the BPM of GD players trying to beat the world's hardest level with atrial fibrillation)

The highest heart rate I got was 170. I never did exercise and when I woke up, it was like that.

when I was 14, I took a bunch of stimulants so i would stay up to write music. now at the time I new pretty much all the risks I would be taking and I thought I would know that I could do what I needed to. I also head a pulse meter so I could keep track of my heart rate and o2 stats. the highest it got resting was 171 and the overall average over 11 hours( the duration of the medicine) was 140. it took almost 15 hours for it to return to normal. also you know their was the petrifying paranoia, anxiety and tactile hallucinations that came with it, I was unable to wright much of anything that night and I was thoroughly disappointed.

I had a heart deflect that would make it so it would beat so fast, I would almost pass out. This was caused by drinking caffeine, eating stuff with cinnamon, or eating chocolate, and exercising or swimming that makes my heart rate goes up.

I've had issues with low resting BPM when I was doing a lot of running. People are unaware of the downsides to being hyper fit! Any time I got sick especially I would be very prone to passing out. I run less now and better for it tbh

My heart rate is 70 bpm when I'm resting, about 100-120 bpm when I'm active

Today, I arrived at the YMCA. I don’t have a weight issue, but I was excited anyways. So I started exercising. When someone we were with signed a membership, they told us that they were going to close at 3:00. It was about 2:45 and I was starting to panic. With that, my heart rate already started getting up, but then I decided to burn as many calories as possible while I was there. I quickly scrambled across different machines for a few minutes and then found a treadmill that could burn a lot of calories. So I started running.

For the first minute I’m very determined, and for the next 5 I am still pushing myself, although not as much. Then it turns 3:00 and I am pretty confident they won’t enforce that with an iron fist, but it still gets my motivation pumped up a little more. And then, I see the stopwatch on the treadmill. It is 9 minutes. My goal is 10, because they would probably get mad if I did 15. I have to make this minute count. So I start running really fast. I glance at my feet, noticing how fast they were moving around a static world. I start thinking about something. Then I remember it’s the last minute. I look at the heart rate counter. It reads about 195. I glance back at the timer. It is the last 20 seconds. I push myself even more. A few seconds later, and it reads 9:55. I put in all the energy I have. Then it reads 9:56, and 9:57, and 9:58, and 9:59, and 10:00. I try to get off the treadmill, but I am too caught up in the endorphins to realize you’re supposed to jump and put both your feet on the sides of the treadmill at once. So I only put one foot on the side and I just start frantically skipping. Fortunately I don’t fall.

I feel nauseous for a second. The feeling fades and I start recovering. Maybe that time limit was a good thing; it pushed me to my own limit. And I realize just how much my limit is. 200 BPM. My heart pounds in my head for a second. It lowers to my neck, and as we leave it still feels as if it’s in my chest. Then, I slowly get back to normal. I remember this video I watched a long time ago. In the car, I write this very comment. Now I’m on the couch, finishing up this comment.

I’m not ChatGPT or something. I’m the son of a writer and I have high functioning autism. Literally no one will ever read this comment but I hope you enjoyed it if you’re there!

Several times I've had VERY high bpm's (well over 160s), not sure exact numbers but it felt like my chest was on fire and my face turned red. Luckily they eventually went back down but it was super scary. For context I have POTS and these rates were because of exercise and/or high Anxiety. Trying to figure out exactly how high it got is hard, because I never fainted, but was probably close to it, but it stopped everything I was doing. Didn't vomit and I don't remember hallucinations, but stuff felt real off. Was probably at or near the limit

Edit: wore a monitor a while ago and it reached like 214 for a few seconds
