you wanted more fall book recommendations...so here you go. feat. your extremely specific, mildly unhinged requests.

thank you so so much to everybody who swiped up on my ig story and put in requests!! i'm sorry i couldn't get to all of them in this video (i only picked the ones where i had a really good fit in mind, and even then i had to cut some for time), but i plan on doing more audience participation things like this in the future, i promise.

All I've ever wanted is a wlw rivals or enemies to lovers book that'll make me feel the way Simon and Baz from Carry On did. I've gone through so many recommendations and they're all either not actually enemies to lovers or they're insta love. I need YEARS of complicated emotional history between the characters okay?! Like not a girl you met last Tuesday babes

This burnt out angsty romance author with an English Lit degree is addicted to your recs. I was DNF’ing one book after another, bored and disappointed. I thought, “Surely there is someone with a high bar like me who can tell me what to read.” Then I remembered your witty TikToks and looked you up. I love this long form. I saw your vid extolling the virtues of Act Your Age, Eve Brown. It absolutely delivered. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Intelligence, humor, and a great breadth of taste was missing from my feed.

Yesterday I saw a post saying "I don't know what to watch on YouTube anymore" but I just want to say, Lexi, you are the exception. I love everything you post. Go off. And thank you for your service.

*Adds yet another string of book recommendations to my like 1000 book TBR* I'm hesitant to recommend books because I always feel like the books I like are never as good as I remember them being.

The intro gives me such specific 90’s teenage sitcom vibes and I’m here for it

Two (fantasy) murder mysteries with a queer cast of characters: A Marvellous Light (also has a sequel) and A Strange and Stubborn Endurance (also has one of the absolute best representations of a healthy communicative relationship and it's so GOOD)

Just wanna say: out of all the booktokers and book channels out there, yours is the one I love and trust the most. You put me on to tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow, and the way you talk about books and tropes and vibes is so fun and relatable and honestly informational helping me decide if I’ll like a book or not. I’m so happy to have a few books added to a witchy Fall TBR, so thank you so so much and I look forward to the rest of your content!❤️

Whenever you decide to pick up a classic again i HIGHLY recommend starting with Jane Eyre. The English used isn't super old timey / hard to understand. It's the perfect fall or winter read, and the romance is the roadmap for so many modern romance books, the quotes in there are *chefs kiss* Also as a super easy and vibey classic series I recommend the Anne of Green Gables series (in particular the first 3, it's an 8 or 9 book series.) Most people know the basic plot of the first book, but it 's so heartwarming and feel good and nostalgic, and the descriptive scenes of nature are top tier! The third book follows Anne when she goes to university with her besties and it's just so much fun to read.
