If a teacher with no police training can clearly see that you are doing your job wrong, you need to revisit why you are a cop.

I worked in an inner city high school. I was elbowed in the face by a student hitting another student as a fight started. I had verbally been trying to stop a verbal argument between the two students and didn't get out of the way fast enough as the physical fight started. The city police department school-based detective and police officer who broke up the fight didn't use that much force on the 16 and 17 year old students involved. They pulled them apart and put both in handcuffs while standing against a wall. Wow! Overkill much over milk and brushing against a teacher.
