Yes it would be great to hear a vlog on the conversation between Krishna and Arjuna and how that relates to God and the soul

Bhagvath gita is not about religion . Its the dharma which should be followed by humans. Its a personality development book . And a guide to reach close to god whatever religion it might be. Proud to be in sanathana dharma

The BG has a way of changing your life somehow. It's philosophy transcends every organised religion. It's a road map to reach your original destination which is your true self ie. Pure consciousness.
I started with the audio version of BG. Both eshwsran and ISKCON. Having read various translation, for a beginner I would also recommend the chinmayanda version.
Swami sarvapriyanda is a expert on these philosophy and is a brilliant teacher. His discourses are also available on Spotify. His discourse are absolutely delightful. Try them

Just minor correction, Prabhupad was 69 when he landed in Boston Harbor and had absolutely no money. He sold a set of Bhagavatams for like 20 dollars or something.

Great titles. I like The Essence of the Bhagavad Gita, which is Swami Kriyananda's remembrance of Yogananda's discourses on the Gita.

I highly recommend reading the Gospel of Ramakrishna. I’ve been a Krishna Bhakta for 30 yrs and reading Ramakrishna’s sweet words and reflecting on his life I see the perfect man. Adwaita Vedanta was criticized within my Hindu parampara and only in the past year ive explores it and I love it

Please buy the Gita Deck if you don’t have it by Mandala Publishing. Different verses on cards with beautiful art translation and transliteration. Great for memorization.

Try Bibek Debroy "The Bhagavad Gita" if you want a very good Sanskrit translation to English and it's not commentary. He has also many other books on the Mahabharata, Ramayana, The Upanishads etc...

Your channel is so underrated! I subscribed. I hope you grow more on YouTube.❤️
But as Krishna says in Gita, " You have the right to work, but never to the fruit of the work. You should never engage in action for the sake of reward, nor should you long for inaction."

It's really great you are doing this.I am studying philosophy and we have a paper in our 5th semester on gita. This video is very helpful .

Can you do a audiobook for the Eknath Easwaran version too.

One excellent translation along with detailed notes is Bhagavad Gita Tattvavivechani by Sri Jayadayal Goyandka published by Gita Press Gorakhpur, India. This is available in most spiritual book shops in India, but am not sure about its availability outside India.

Being a native of India, i generally would not recommend study of an English translation. The best understanding comes when studying it in an Indian language, simply because there are a number of technical terms which don't have equivalents in English.

I remember when I was in Chippenham In The County of Wiltshire England which is a town I live in. I was in the town centre . This French Buddhist Monk from Cardiff comes up to me and asks "do you practice meditation" I say to him I have done. He then says "that explains why you're so peaceful" He then starts going on about His Divine Grace AC Swami. He asks me if I've heard of any of his books. I say I remember a blue one. He then asks "Do you mean The Science Of Realisation?" I say yeah. He then asks "how did you find out about it?" I say Amazon. He then shows me an orange hardback copy of The Bhagavad Gita. And a copy of The Teachings of Queen Kunti. Telling me and showing me they are accompanied by Sanskrit as well as written in English. He also asks if I want to donate to his charity? which is this Cafe in Cardiff. I say no. He then he shows me a business card giving information about This Welsh Yogi Podcast. I ask him if he's heard of Mathieu Ricard? who's a French Buddhist Monk. He says yes. He then offers to give me the books for free. I say I've already got a lot to read. He then says "take them" So I say, You know what?, I will give you a donation. So I give him £5. He then gives me The Bhagavad Gita As It Is. He then gives me his copy of The Teachings Of Queen Kunti. I say are you sure? He says yeah. So I walk off with both books. I later tried reading The Bhagavad Gita As It Is but had difficulty getting into it. Also tried reading The Teachings Of Queen Kunti but also found it difficult to get into. So I gave the books to the Oxfam Charity Shop. I've read The Bhagavad Gita Seven times. I've read two Penguin Classics editions and I've read The Oxford Classics edition. I've also read the Eknath Easwaran translation. Penguin Classics editions are very easy to read in my opinion but the Eknath Easwaran has clearer text and goes into more detail.
