The price is insulting. Your analysis seems spot on. It becomes even more upsetting with the competent competition. Benchmade should be avoided for being offensive.

I nearly didn’t watch this review because it was a Benchmade, not because Benchmade is a bad knife, but because they’re way, way overpriced. I have a few older Benchmade’s but they’ve priced me out of their market, long ago.

Not interested in any premium fixed blades unless they are 3V or better steel. Why pay big bucks just to go backwards in steel technology and performance.?

Since the introduction of the Narrows I’ve lost all interest in Benchmade. I’ll just get a TRM. Hell, I could get a Fiddleback forge fixie cheaper than the Narrows.

That looks nice, but it does look like a $150 knife. I have a handmade knife that I bought for less than $150 without a sheath.

I have a love hate relationship with Benchmade. They come out with a knife that I really like and then they discontinue it. Meaning if I want to buy another one of these models, I would have to pay collector prices to purchase it. And if I bought it, I wouldn't want to use it. I would like to pick up one of the Benchmade 705 and Nimravus Cub.
