Why are all the highlighted points won by Gauff when shnaider won 6-4, 6-1? I don’t think the reverse would be true had Gauff won by that same scoreline…

To be clear, nothing against coco. She’s accomplished so much already at such a young age and I hope she keeps going in that direction. Just want to see other deserving players get their flowers too.

Shnaider is playing really well and so is her doubles partner Andreeva... they beat everyone at the Olympics besides the Italian team and they just play great tennis so this win is not that much of a surprise

Shnaider actually has a very solid skillset, as opposed to the Great American Hype, who's noted for a couple of things: 1) 'Double Fault', and 2) '...forehand into the net'. Diana won 29 points in the 2nd Set; this video showed TWO of them. L'il Hype won a mere 16 points in the set, yet the person who compiled this video chose to show five of them.

The hype overload that's been continually showered upon the loser of this match for the last four+ years continues unabated. I'm looking forward to her falling to 5th in the rankings once we're past this year's Open... 'cause she's not going to defend at either Cincy or there.

Stop trying to force specific players down fan's throats, WTA; those of us who are true fans of the sport possess the capability to watch, analyse, and choose who we wish to follow on our own.
