80% of all crops grown are for feeding livestock, 80% of all farmland is used to support livestock. Then we kill 80 billion land animals every year for human consumption. Plus the majority of all ocean catch is used to make chicken feed. Then you've got the fact that 83% of the average person's caloric intake is from plants, grains and sugar meaning we use 80% of our farmland and water usage to make 17% of the avg diet. And all that is subsidized by the tax payer to the tune of 36 billion a year so you can even afford meat.

Therefore, the statement being made here is simply irrelevant, as the production of plant-based food does not involve the exploitation of these animals. Moreover, there is no cruelty involved since the purpose is not solely for the sake of killing but rather to protect the necessary food for survival. Of course, we should explore better methods to prevent these deaths. However, as mentioned, the statement made in the video has nothing to do with veganism. On the other hand, "farm animals" are intentionally killed and are therefore considered within the scope of veganism.

Veganism is just performance activism for rich people who want to feel like they are doing good for the environment. If u really want to help the earth shop local. Support your local hunters and farmers, and start your own garden.
