Splinter Cell Remake: Stepping Out of the Shadows | Ubisoft [NA]

Ubisoft has greenlit the development of a Splinter Cell remake that will draw from the rich canvas of the brand. Led by Ubisoft Toronto, the game will be rebuilt from the ground up using Ubisoft’s own Snowdrop engine to deliver new-generation visuals and gameplay, and the dynamic lighting and shadows the series is known for. With more Splinter Cell on the horizon, Ubisoft News spoke with some of the developers that launched the original game 19 years ago and some that are working on the remake to find out exactly what set Splinter Cell apart from the competition.

With a remake being made now, this is a good time for others to enjoy the 2nd and 3rd games! Please make a HD port of the trilogy for current gen systems. We would love to see this series get more attention then just from the cameos.

During the quarantine i have played from the first title this masterpiece, i still have the cd rom from sp1 to chaos theory. This is my childhood, and i' m very happy ubisoft have decided to do a remake of this. I hope ubisoft make another remake of old games like Brothers in arm saga. Thanks Ubisoft

Splinter Cell 1 was an instant classic, I adore the first three games to this day, but to be honest the first game and Chaos Theory are my favorites.

I hope Ubisoft returns to the roots of Splinter Cell and follow the formula of the first three games...

I bought the first Splinter Cell series game on Xbox when It released and I became a fan. I loved how, for that time, it looked realistic. His body suit, the lighting, the environment, and the backgrounds were so beautiful and realistic, I loved looking at this game. I hope the remake is as beautifully realistic and artistic.

I am SO insanely excited for the new Splinter Cell! I really hope they bring back Michael Ironside as Sam's voice; it's as iconic as the nightvision sound! But my biggest hope is they don't destroy it (like AC) by making it an online/MMO game. He's a solo badass and it needs to be played solo.

I’m here for this! I remember picking up Splinter Cell for my Xbox the week it launched. I never heard anything about the game but took a chance. Loved every moment!
