It is a great drill! After doing this for a while, now I feel that I have some kind of decent pace during this drill, but at the beginning as you said, you are slow, and tend to speed up.

Is fist drill possible with 2-beat-kick? I couldnt go anywhere 😂

Yeah, the focus to place the fist into the water can't be emphasized enough. If you do this drill deliberately and swim at least 6 laps of 50m or 12 of 25m, you will see improvement when you switch to normal freestyle swimming. I've done this drill many times and didn't see improvement, then just yesterday, things started to feel right, starting from placing the fist deliberately into the water.
