0:52. 32hr week? And 2hr lunch? I'm guessing you're in management then....

Of course shops don't stay open 24/7. The staff deserve a life.

3.19 But when commenting on their 'low' taxes many in the U'S forget to include all the extra county/state taxes added every time they purchase anything at the shop and they also 'forget' to include their health insurance premium (in most countries that is counted as part of your taxes because you pay it with your taxes) plus their deductibles plus their co-pays (all extra ''taxes'' that we have deducted at source with our taxes, and I'm not in the UK either). Once you add all of those up - and someone did that on a YOuTube channel when comparing the taxes between the US and various European nations plus Australia - what you end up paying in the US is considerably MORE than you pay in the other countries.

2:30 Can't walk in a straight line in Scotland because of the wind? Yeah, right! That's the poorest excuse I've ever seen but I love it anyway. ;-)

Riding bicycles and smoking INSIDE the airport? It must have been an exception. Or it wasn‘t the Frankfurt in Germany.

Not every shop is closed after 17:00 in Germany. Not every shop is closed on sundays in Germany.

2 hours for lunch?? 28 years in the UK and 43 in Australia and that seems pretty wild to me.

Nowhere in Germany all stores close at 5 p.m.😂

In most of the european countries taxes are used for the benefits of their citizens and maintenance of infrastructure, parks etc.
Together with affordable healthcare, 20-25 paid vacation days per year and reasonable working hours it makes life easier and leaves you time to enjoy other things😊

Regarding feeling safe and not having your stuff messed with, we've lived in a small city in NZ for five years. Went to Aus for a week recently and locked the door for the first time...

I doubt that many Europeans think in miles.

Not American but I can confirm that the people in Glasgow are great. Some of the nicest folks you could ever want to meet.

7:40 Being homeless is a consequence of American culture. People earn only enough to live from paycheck to paycheck, no social net to help with your bills if you get fired and then you can get fired at will - meaning without giving any cause. No job means no money and no money means not able to pay rent -> homeless. And even if you in an US state that has a bit of a social net the money is often not enough to rent. And the same happens if you have a low income. There is a reason that some people live in tents in parks and on sidewalks even if they have a job. A study shows that the minimum salary by law in nearly every USA state is not enough to pay the rent for a one bed room apartment.

It always amuses me when Americans comment on the number of smokers in Europe - all the statistics I've found on the net indicate there are more smokers per capita in the US than in most western European countries [2022: USA 24.3% - Germany 21.3% - UK 14.2%]

5:17 - that's Asia, and transportation in this city isn't stellar by any standard.
