I am so glad to see that a lot of people in the comment section are standing up for people who have acne/skin texture, braces, glasses, etc! It's so wholesome. I have struggled with acne from a very young age, and I was frequently picked on for it. When i was younger, I truly believed that I was ugly because of my acne. Now I know that acne is normal, and many people have it. Its not something that needs to be/has to be fixed. Tiktok trends that show people that society deems conventionally unattractive transforming into "perfect" people have become increasingly popular, and I do feel bad for impressionable young people who think that they are less than as a result. Obviously, no hate to the creator of the video. I'm guessing that their intent was not to be mean. I'm just saying that I think people should think twice before posting something a young person could potentially see.

something to normalize - textured skin and skin issues. perfect skin is unattainable and social media promoting acne and pimples as ugly could be very damaging to our mental health. just a daily reminder that u are beautiful, both inside and out despite societal standards 💕

Glasses are to fix your eye sight, braces are to straighten your teeth and pimples are part of life. What’s so wrong about that? All these influencers are using filters to make themselves skinnier or smoother skin. But they probably have some pimples too!!
