I'm a graphic designer and an artist(painting) on the side.
And I used to think my job was safe from AI. now 100% convinced that is not true.
Hell, I genuinely find these results creative and intriguing and beautiful to look at. This is orders of magnitude beyond where I thought this sort of tech was at. Things are getting so so interesting....
How on earth are we going to handle the transition to our objective irrelevance? Merging? Extinction? Nihilism? I have no clue....

hell pretty soon we will start seeing npcs in games and possibly even whole game engines based off this advanced a.i. a game might beable to randomly generate characters and automatically tweak the animations and different perspectives they may be seen at. Even down to minute details like dust and bugs happening dynamically and scripting itself as it goes on.

I noticed the "baby panda looking in a mirror" images didn't always contain an accurate reflection of the panda in the mirror. The most common "error" seemed to be the panda's reflection was missing the hat. I expect most people would try to duplicate the panda's reflection from the original. I also get that some artists might go for some abstract impression - a message about why the panda's reflection doesn't have a hat or is wearing one if the original doesn't have a hat. However, that level of awareness - to create a specific abstract impression for artistic purpose - is probably beyond the capability of even our most sophisticated AI. My default assumption is that the AI doesn't really understand mirrors, but instead has enough context to get the reflection correct more often than not.
