I think trust is a massive issue here. I just don’t think we have trust in the national system for people to tell us what we need to do.

Therefore we are much more likely to have success if we lead this locally, if we use our community champions and leaders, our faith leaders and our volunteers, and use people who actually understand the area, live and work in the area and get the message across that way.

I'm in Sydney but really feel for VIC.
Not saying I've been trying to ignore these developments in VIC this week. But yesterday and the day before, I definitely felt emotional. Didn't want to read or watch the news. We really are on a knife's edge in NSW. 17 planes from Melbourne are due to land in Sydney tomorrow. The planes that landed today - passengers were able to alight and enter a taxi, or Uber under the assumtion they will go straight into isolation.
There are some 90 aged care facilities in VIC with infection.
Ive been pretty calm through this up until these last few days.
Its like you are our virus 'dad' - I tuned into see if you had recorded anything about Aus. And there you are. Cant say I was reassured. But always a realistic, unbiased and informative update. Thank you. X
