I mean hey, at least they didn't hit a single cone

That UFO seems to out maneuver the Jeep. UFO at 7-9 sec into video.

Is that so? I saw a Swedish tv show about cars a couple of weeks ago and they had the same results even with the presence of Jeep engineers, and as a fact the car´s weight was no 384Kg more then the official numbers from Jeep. How strange.

It isnt true. Test was performed again and Chrysler's emploees were there. In addition, cars had lower weight, but they failed anyway. Their tires even exploded several times.

stop arguing that its the driver fault, its a car for normal drivers and not to skilled drivers, its supposed that the car will be safe regardless the driver or its experience, so simply its a bad designed car. sorry for my bad english :)

Honestly you have no idea how you'd react in a split second decision like that. Foot on, foot off I'd like my car to perform.

Grand Cherokees are made with anti-rollover equipment. You said it yourself that it ALMOST rolled over. Therefore it DOES work. The Jeep didn’t roll over did it? So the safety feature did its job

sorry, i might actually lend this test some credence when they allow the driver to release the gas and use the brakes. i live in ohio and, needless to say, i've been avoiding deer since i was 16 years old, and not ONCE have i performed a lane change-esque maneuver while holding the gas pedal steady or without using the brakes. this test is absolutely absurd and represents a scenario that is simply 100% unrealistic.
BTW, my first car was a geo tracker, i KNOW what getting on 2 wheels feels like.

we're talking about common fucking sense, not skills that only a professional race car driver possesses. let me say again, no driver, in their right mind, would hold the gas pedal down steady state while performing this maneuver. it defies common sense, it defies natural human reactions, and the only place you'll find such boneheaded driving is in a closed testing situation such as this.
and your english is good!

The main reason for the Jeep´s bad road manner is most likely a badly programmed computer that gives the suspension wrong input.
I´ve had two V8 Grand Cherokee´s that I really liked (Gen 1 and 2), but with any of those I would probably be laying door down in a test like this!
Let´s face it. US car technology is not World leading! Maybe in the marketing offices, but not in the real World, Sorry!
Now I´ve got a -78 Chevy truck as a Daily driver. Reliable? Yes oh Good handling? NO :-)
