Horse stall build - on a budget!

Molly's stall build, start to finish.
We keep as much as we can around our farm. This build was done with very little spent on new materials. We used an old telephone pole, tons of scrap wood, and extra screws and bolts. The biggest cost was the gate.

Update: The rock used in the floor was a crap idea! We have moved to mulch and Molly is loving it!

Hi, just watched your video, enjoyed it very much. Simple and constructive. One suggestion if I may. I would attach your gate to the outer wall so it opens left to right. May be safer and easier to enter the stall. Just my opinion. Take Care

You did a good job, but you really need to put something over the tin sides....a horse can kick through the tin and severe an artery

What kind of wood was used and what measurements

Maybe add a kick wall, your horse may kick right thru that metal wall and get hurt bad!

Do u have to have the big poll for the stall to stay secure? My barn isn’t a poll barn and we don’t want to put tall polls all the way to the ceiling so could u do just a little poll in place like the one attached to the door?
