One of the most versatile animators, it's amazing that he did Red's dancing without the use of a performance model he said in one interview he did it all from scratch.

Doing wild takes while exerting perfect control over the flow of action, Blair was the king of that shit. If you want to draw cartoons or animate, you seriously need to download a PDF of Advanced Animation, the original one with the Disney and MGM characters.

I purchased his animation book not too long ago… and it is truly a worthy purchase, not just for learning how to animate a character, but also basic drawing as well.

For some reason I kind of find Disney and Tex Avery related because for instance look at the wolf, he looks like a traditional Disney bad guy that would pick on Mickey just like Pete.

I had to study two cartoon performances for an essay in my first year of my BA animation course, and Red Hot Riding Hood dancing in 'Wild and Woolfy' was one of them.

Did he design Tom & Jerry's character model around mid-1945?

0:49 Amazing animation but that looked kinda laggy for some reason. Maybe it's the video?
