I mean I understand where rishi is coming from because it happened with me and my husband. My husbands Gujarati and I am Chinese and we eased into the family. He first introduced me to his dad as a friend and told him I can sing in Hindi and eventually got him down. Then his sister who stays in Australia, we went to meet her and her husband and we spent some great times together. It took 1 whole year for the introduction as a “friend” to ease into the family. So I know here he’s coming from and it worked for me and I hope it will work for Jen as well.
