Definitely this person said right....if we pay road tolls then where the income tax money go...we pay gst for almost all products and services where did the money go...we pay custom duties on imports where did the money go....if some says that this is used in defense, military, government services, hospital, etc that is totally right but what part of this amount is used in these things and where the balance amount go is the question and we all very well know were it goes...

But this is not only for infrastructure development. How about Defence budget, central and state schemes. Foreign policy etc etc. Income tax is needed but certainly the slab can be reduced

Nitin also issued National highways investment bond and they pay 8% interest for the bonds.

GST brings in more revenue than Income taxes. Most Indians don't file ITR, because a lot of indians don't have a legal income high enough to be taxed. And a lot of indians hide their income.

GST is the best way to tax income regardless of the source, no matter how much illegal money you make you will still have to pay GST whenever you buy anything.

Currently most roads are being built on Build-operate-transfer model.. where builder build a road on his own cost, then operate it by generating revenue through tolls and taxes and after recovering his money, ownership then transferred to government.

So no, roads are not built with your tax money and therefore you are paying tolls.
Government is only responsible for planning and creating a contract.

There is central excise, GST and other corporate taxes . Personal income tax is just a small portion of tax collected by the government.
