Wheat Harvest 2024 near Burlington Oklahoma | John Deere X9 Combines

In this video I am out in some wheat fields near Burlington Oklahoma with Meinke Farms out of Missouri as they custom harvest winter wheat in the area.

In the video they are harvesting the wheat with their 3 John Deere X9 1000 Combines all with 50 foot wide John Deere draper heads. Running beside the combines keeping that grain moving is their John Deere 9RX 640 Tractor pulling a Kinze grain cart on tracks.

Meinke Farms will do a total of four wheat harvest stops in Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado and Nebraska then move back to their home farm in Missouri and harvest corn and soybeans.

Very impressive chopper on the back of those combines. Must take a bit of power just to run those spreading that volume of straw wider than the 50 foot headers.

That John Deere combine, tractor, and Kinze cart cost well over a million dollars. That is 200, 000 bu of wheat or enough to make almost 20 million loafs of whole wheat bread. Agriculture production is very impressive...yet some want to go back to the old ways.
