The Rise and Fall of Australia
Показать описание
Nick Bryant examines how Australian politics have become so impoverished at a time when richness abounds elsewhere in our lives, and how this is leaving us teetering on the brink of disaster. He’s joined by host Madeleine Morris (reporter, ABC television’s 7.30).
Nick Bryant was the BBC’s correspondent to Australia for six years. In his latest book The Rise and Fall of Australia: How a Great Nation Lost its Way, he gives us an outsider’s perspective on the paradox that is contemporary life in Australia. Looking at politics, racism, sport and culture, he proposes that if Australia is to avoid decline, we must abandon our long-running national stereotypes and make a fresh start.
