Probably best policy today, for maternity, is a combo of base & super top-up plan.

Base plan: Bajaj My Health Care is good with maternity + new born benefits (2yr Maternity waiting; Maternity Limit: upto 75000/-; New Born Limit: upto 10Lakh). You may choose any other plan as well.

Super Top-Up: Bajaj Extra Care Plus is probably the only Super Top Up available today with maternity benefit (1yr Maternity waiting; 2Lakh Deductible; Maternity: Upto SI).

During claim:
first 75000/- by Base Plan.
Next 1, 25, 000/- by own pocket.
Rest of the amount by Super Top-up.

In ICICI Advantedge, maternity is covered with upfront payment of 3 years premium which will come around Rs. 1, 50, 600 for person insured.

Hi Mam, I think for star health women's care insurance policy eligibility you don't need two persons in policy, this was also confirmed by a Star health insurance agent as well. Currently my wife is covered in the plan.

only around 60 k will be given by company for premium of 25k per year and that two with minimum 1 year waiting period means 50 k premium in total, then what is its use?
