This is a longer step-by-step video about using an image file to create geometry.

Using Trace to Grease Pencil, we can convert an image into a Grease Pencil Object, which can then be converted further until we get a mesh.

After some cleanup of this mesh, we can use it to cut a hole into an object using Knife Project.

you might want to use limited dissolve option to unpopulate unwanted vertices, then tweak angle to increase or decrease influence. best used on unfilled wire objects or curves converted to meshes

But you didn't make a 3D box, with the correct perspective. That would have been more challenging. I would like to see you do that.
