Shayetet 13 is defined as the naval commando unit of the Israeli Navy operating at sea, on land and in the air as well as collecting intelligence information on the enemy and attacking essential facilities and vessels in enemy ports in times of war.
Lasts about 18 months and includes:
Infantry training and advanced training in the Golani Brigade.
The "preparatory" phase - takes place at the base of the shayetet, where the fighters are gradually exposed to the activity of the shayetet, learn its values ​​and the team is formed into a team of fighters (here is where most dismissals take place). The fighters undergo fitness training, raid methods, rubber boat rides and more.
"Dedicated" stage (followed by an advanced dedicated stage) - the next stage in the training in which each team of fighters specializes in a unique field. The trainings include attack by boats, a counter-terrorism course, a parachuting course, combat diving, a sea commanders course and more.
